The Taylor Jean Salt Water Fishing Team consists of Captain Blaine Birch, Master Captain Ken Hager, and Co-Master Captain Dave McKendrick. Crew Members who typically join  us saltwater fishing are Brandon Kape,  Kerry Ashe, Ryan Hager,  and Alan Kape.  We originally were a group of friends who shared a common passion for salt water fishing. However as the years passed we evolved from a group of weekend warriors to a sports fishing team which has compiled an impressive record for non-professionals in some of the East Coasts biggest tournaments. The Taylor Jean Sports Fishing Team is proud to compete all of its tournament fishing aboard the beautiful 2022 62 Viking Convertible.   

Now we can bring this experience and passion for fishing to you through charters. Captain Blaine Birch and Captain Dave McKendrick are both licensed 6 pack Master Captains with the US Coast Guard. This allows us to bring up to 6 paying passengers for their opportunity at exceptional fishing experiences! Charter fishing . We offer charter fishing from Manasquan Inlet so you too can experience the joy of salt water fishing.

Canyon Fishing, charter fishing from Manasquan Inlet and tournament fishing on the East Coast for tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi and marlin is our main focus and love. We usually begin the season with a shark tournament or two while we wait for the Gulf Stream waters to arrive.

Once the warm waters begin to show we race out to the canyons to do some salt water fishing and pick at fish.  A careful study of water temperature charts, chlorophyll and bottom structure help us decide on which areas of the ocean to target.
